World Cup Trophy Makes First Appearence in South Korea
February 24th, 2006 | By: WC Bob | No Comments »
The World Cup trophy will be on display in Seoul on Monday, but unless you are part of a select elite you won’t have a chance to see it. The trophy will be at the Seoul World Cup Stadium and will be viewed by 2,000 people hand picked by Coca-Cola, the sponsors of the trophy tour. This is the first time the trophy has ever been on South Korean soil. In 2002, it was housed in Japan during the World Cup. It is a shame that more people can’t get a look at it and that a global corporation apparently owns it now. Anybody out there part of the elite 2,000?
