Upcoming Friendlies
Korea’s signed up for a couple of friendlies against Senegal and Bosnia. I’m against having friendlies so close to the world cup when a lot of things can go wrong on the pitch that alter the odds.
Refer to my earlier post where I mention France’s loss of Zidane to injury while playing a friendly against Korea a week before the tournament was to begin.
The match against Senegal should be fun; African teams rival almost any in terms of physical fitness, and Korea will be relying on endurance to win their games, once again. The match against Bosnia is likely intended to bolster a bit of ‘World Cup fever’ by allowing their National Team a chance to bung a few goals in for TV highlights. I’m disappointed that they won’t be playing any friendlies in Pusan, however.
