The Resurrection; Lee Chun-Soo
A great article documenting the possible return of Lee Chun-Soo to the National Team. It mentions a book he published containing a bit of vitriol concerning his teammates at the time–I’ve never heard about this book.
In a previous blog, I mentioned how his stays at Real Sociedad and Numancia came to nothing, and this one goes further to say that since returning to the K-League, he’s been revitalized and may warrant a position amongst the 23.
My question is, does being a big fish in a small pond equate success on a global scale? Check it out for yourself.

I’ve seen Lee play for the national team several times and he is definitely number one on my Most Irritating Soccer Player list. He is a terrific dribbler, is very tricky, and has lots of speed. However, when he creates space for himself, his crosses go nowhere, and his shots are way off target. He’ll make the team, but whether or not he’s effective is to be seen. In short, maybe he’ll make an impact, and maybe he’ll just be on the pitch.
