South Korea to Face Syria in Asian Cup
February 21st, 2006 | By: WC Bob | No Comments »
Syria is the next opponent for South Korea as the two teams meet in Asian Cup group play today. The two teams have not played each other for 22 years. South Korea will likely employ its usual 4-3-3 formation against Syria’s 4-5-1. Korea’s forward assignments will be Lee Dong-guk at center, Park Ju-young on the left, and Lee Chun-su on the right. Kim Nam-il, Yi Ho, and Kim Du-hyeon are likely to take midfield responsibilities since Baek Ji-hun, Kim Du-hyeon’s alternative, is not 100 percent. Kim Dong-jin, Kim Jin-gyu, Choi Jin-cheol, and Jo Won-hee are again expected to form the team’s four-back defense line.
