South Korea Looks to Change Things Up
Following a disappointing loss to a weak UAE side this week, South Korea coach Dick Advocaat is expected to make changes to his lineup when his team takes on Greece on Saturday in Saudi Arabia.
Kim Nam-il, one of the stars in 2002, is expected to make his return to the national team after an extended absence.
This should be welcome news for Advocaat who is using this world tour as a way for his young, mostly Korean-based players to stay fit and to gain international experience.
One of those players, Jang Hak-young, made his first international appearance against UAE and did not display good form in Korea’s back line. He was replaced in the second half and it will be interesting to see if Advocaat gives him another chance against Greece.
My prediction is that Greece will win 2-1, but South Korea will win the war. The team will work its way into shape and come March we will start seeing a level of play we have come to expect from our boys.
