Korea 1:0 Angola
I had a chance to watch this game on a repeat, having been at work when the game was on, but I was impressed with our boys. They worked hard, they (hockey term coming up) forechecked well, and most of the action was taking place on the Angolan part of the pitch.
The only thing that wins like this worry me about is that Angola is hardly in the same league as the French or Swiss teams. I’m not expecting Korea to lose to Togo, but they’ll need to jam a few more goals in if they want to get their confidence up.
On top of that, I’ve played in freezing weather–it’s not the same as playing in favourable conditions, and in Germany this summer, the weather will not give Korea any advantages.
