Injury Time For Korean Striker
Looks like Lee Dong-Gook may be out for his second World Cup in a row. Check here for details.
This will be a bigger blow to Korea than anybody realizes, regardless of how well they played without him the last time around; with him, they have more attacking options, and with the quality of the fullbacks they’ve got thus far, attacking seems to be their best (and only) option. They’ve got capable replacements, but losing a starter is like losing a limb. Potentially crippling. We can only hope that he’ll be back in time.
Incidentally, does anybody here think that Owen will be a significant factor this summer after breaking his foot? You can heal from injury just fine, but if you’re not in match fitness, I doubt you’d get the chance to start many games.
